It's the only photography related GAS I have to control right now (i.e. not buying the SY 135mm). But I'm lucky because I've got an excuse to not buy the lens right now. I could buy it right now for my Canon 550D/T2i (EF mount), but I know I will switch to Sony E in the future, so I would have to buy it once more then since I want the lens native on any camera system. :p

I just bought the canon versions for my sony. I figured if I ever had to sell them the canons would sell easier. The adapted canon versions are the same length as the non adapted sony versions

Download the latest firmware from metabones. Run the software and it will tell you when to connect the adaptor. Connect the adaptor (its a standard type connection and is not included). The software will then update your firmware or it will tell you its up to date.

That's how its done on mac. I assume pc is the same

navydoc wrote in post #17859627 (external link)
With the adapter mounted on the camera, go to 'menu>toolbox icon? page 6> version'. There you'll see what firmware version of your camera is and what version the adapter is and will be listed as 'lens'. When/if you want to install the latest firmware on the adapter, I recommend using the USB cable that came with the camera. Of course, your adapter will not be connected to the camera for this. Here's an excellent video on how to do the update on the Metabones firmware.

Thanks a lot!!

That makes a lot of sense, but I don't like to sell things (it's a hassle). Also, I prefer native lenses since I don't want possible problems like light leaks or internal reflections that might occur when using an adapter.

What's the best base ISO for thr Sony A7? I've been using 100 since that was the best for my Canons, but when I shoot 400 on mine it looks just as nice as 100. In terms of noise, color and dynamic range.

Eddie, I saw the larger version on your Flickr stream. Very impressive! Great job on the set.

Technically iso 100 is best
