Technically iso 100 is best

Thank you! I know some Nikons and Some Sonys only have 200 as the base/lowest so I didn't know if 100 was native or expanded.

Still pretty awesome how I can't notice a difference at 400. I definitely can on my Canon bodies.

Final one from last night. Samyang 24 f/1.4. The light on the right is the setting moon. The light on the left is light pollution from a distant city.

Finally sold my canon 400 f5.6. I didn't use it enough to justify keeping it. Hopefully the a7R will sell soon.

Eddie, so far Joel's speed BW series is looking good. Will need to get some shots soon to practice.

Bokeh could be better. I'd say you still need the Batis 85. :p

By the way how does the SY 135mm compare to the Sony FE 90mm in terms of sharpness?

i would say the same.... and the SY135 results are very clean, no any CA of any color at all.

I guess that's what differentiates the sharp vintage lenses to the new ones.

Love these. :)

I'm not a portrait shooter so my advice doesn't count, but I'll say it: you don't nee the Batis. Anyway Batis is for losers and Otus is for winners. Go buy the Otus 85mm! :p I kid.

Seriously, if I had to have an 85mm I'd probably go the route Eddie did and get the Sigm 85mm f/1.4. Cheaper, faster, awesome image quality.

It would be a waste of money. With the results you are getting don't bother.

I'm not even going to bother catching up with the thread right now. I hope everyone is doing well.

Here's a pano I shot recently. 6 photo stitch. The detail is amazing when you stitch A7RII files. Hehe.
Original size was about 16,000 pixels wide.
The forum resize doesn't do it justice. So I will upload in its full glory to my Flickr.

oh is it the moon? i thought there's a small city behind.

Awesome. Samyang is super awesome. I hope they will make something like 18mm. 14 is too wide for me and 24 is not wide enough for interior work. I don't know if their 16mm is still too wide. I read from an interior photographer before that the lens to be used must be at least not wider than 20mm. I like how samyang/rokinon control CA. with my 135mm, there's zero CA.

grab a 14mm rok f2.8 and shoot in crop mode, that will give u best of both worlds, crop for interior and full size for landscapes,i am very happpy with my 14mm,its sharp and as all my roks/samyang they have great build quaility

A couple of snapshots during our day out with the kiddos and the RX1RII. As you typically see on family outings...lots of parents lugging DSLR's around. Very nice to have nothing but my point and shoot to contend with :-)
