Is is less than 1 year old, more like 5 months. I guess I will call Canon next week.

Unfortunately if the camera has a good battery, the battery contacts are OK, and shows no power, then it needs to go in for service.

I used to work in electronics service and people would bring in their radios and TVs that were dead and suggest that it was the switch or a tube (back in tube days). That's because those were the only parts they knew about. In truth they had no idea.

So nobody knows if is the PCB or the ABC of your camera and it makes no difference anyway because it will need to go in for service.

Unless it comes back by itself spontaneously and mysteriously! That sometimes happens. Worrying in any case.

I'm starting to explore the higher ISOs with this camera. This one at ISO 1600, taken yesterday, with the 100-400 ii. This had been my nemesis bird in terms of getting a good shot. Finally got her...Northern Harrier female.

Nice shot. FWIW, I don't consider ISO 1600 to be a high ISO with the 7D2, assuming the shot is not underexposed.

No, today (finally after a lot of rain) was dry and sunny. It was working fine, and then I was leaving the trail and going towards the car, and saw some birds flying about nearby and picked up the camera and....nothing. I took a bunch of images with it this morning with no problems including after a battery change, and then.....nothing. No warning... very weird.

A couple of images I got this morning before the 7D2 quit...a kestrel and a Cooper's Hawk. with 400 5.6L

Grey day but still fun!

My previous 1DX crapped out too, but that was after 3 years. But I had some minor symptoms for about 6-12 months leading up to it until it started really acting up for 2-weeks. (And then it took 3-trips back to Canon before they were willing to replacement.)

Ugh. I just requested a repair order. Off it goes (on TUESDAY I guess unless FedEx is open on a holiday).....
