Sony A7rII,Fe16-35. Victoria B.C. Canada

The second photo is 2 photos merged into 1 from the Sony HDR app. Well worth the $10.00.

So good at getting the Look from your models.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Damn, you guys are really making me get the itch to switch to Sony in the spring. I have one more wedding to shoot in 2016 before i "retire" and go back to just shooting models, families and cars and i am thinking the switch to Sony will happen then. What adapters are you guys using to run your L series lenses?

Metabones IV T. I was a long time anti-metabones person as I thought it was too expensive for what it is but since I got one I now realise the value in it. Metabones are constantly updating the firmware for it to make it better and better. I have used a Viltrox II previously (still got it) and get some issues with certain lenses wheras the metabones works for them all. If you are going to get a Sony my advice is to get a metabones also

For all the metabones people out there, I know this isn't the best thread but most of you will likely be here.

From my perspective, I have had very good success with the Metabones IV T with the newest firmware on my Canon L glass that everyone else reports to be working well.

I recently got the Sigma 24-105 F4 OS to use on my 5DSR but I brought it to Costa Rica as my one lens one camera setup - there are many reason I did so but one forsure was that it appeared to work well while I was here in Toronto. In Costa Rica is constantly acted up losing the information transmitting the F-Stop which resulted in the Camera dropping to MF mode. Now that I back in Toronto again, I haven't used it much but it doesn't see to be happening.

My question, could this be an issue of temperature and expansion / contraction between Camera / adapter / lens? Is anyone having issues with Canon lenses in very warm climates while using the adapter or this Sigma or other lens in warm climates?

I sent Metabones a note and they said they have forwarded the info to the engineers to look at.

thanks

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Right on, i will for sure be doing that. I am planning on renting the RII for a bit before pulling the trigger and selling my 5d3 and 6D so i will rent a metabones as well to use my L glass with it and make sure it is the move i am going to be happy with.
