Songzanlin Monastery in Yunnan, China. Situated at 3300m on the edge of the Tibetan plateau, it was established by the fifth Dalai Lama. Smoke from wood fires and steam from the surrounding grasslands intermingle to form a haze in the morning sun.

Sony A7r with Sigma 120-300 OS and 1.4x TC at 420mm.

When I travel, my camera gear tends to weigh more than everything else put together, and that includes camping gear...

How much did your equipment bag weigh with the gear onboard?

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Sunset over Tokyo Bay from Odaiba.

The viewing deck Fuji TV building was closed (due to a public holiday the previous day), so the promenade out the front was the next best thing. Didn't get the elevated viewpoint over the bridge, but it came out OK.

A7r with Canon 100L Macro - multi-shot panorama.

That shot of the monastery...how nice a reward for the effort to capture that.
