Buying a used a7R II, what should I watch out for?

It is properly documented with proof of purchase and serial numbers matching.

What should I watch out for when I buying a used one? I am worried it may been dropped or cracked open with the internals fiddled with.

With SLRs we look at the shutter count. With a mirrorless, do I also look out for this?

Asking price is $2,400, how much lower can I bargain for?

It was bought 09/2015 with warranty ending on 09/2018.

I will be meeting with the seller 3 miles from where I live so I can eyeball the body before buying.

Just take the same precautions you would buying any other camera.

I would check the warranty is transferable as in the uk its normally not

Inspect the sensor for obvious scratches, as it's exposed, unlike dslr. Make sure IBIS works, learn about it prior to seeing the item, or bringing an lens to test, make sure the buttons work. Bring a laptop to check shutter count or request it prior. You can check the wifi to see if it works, but may take some time.
