As far as the quad copter, it's the Syma X5C Explorers 2.4G 4CH 6-Axis Gyro RC Quadcopter With HD Camera. (external link) It belongs to a friend of mine and looks like it would be fun to learn with before investing a lot more money on a larger quad copter. The link will take you to Amazon so you can read the details and see the price, which is $59.99 including an HD camera.

I have the same one in black and the JJC H8C...both are fun to fly, neither is really harder to fly than the other. The cameras while called HD...meh...not great by any stretch. But they are fun, and not a big investment...which is good when you first start out with them...you will crash them and get them stuck in trees...;-)a

OK might be violating the 'law', posting the setup with an A7Rii capture, but the results from an ancient NEX-5; hope you all are cool with that.
With all the megapixel wars it was kinda fun shooting 14 mp's.
Forgot to mention the shot of the setup was using the 21mm adapter on the FE 28/2.

Looks like you have a nice 'blind' setup for shooting those birds. I like using the smart remote I installed on my a7rII and Samsung Galaxy 5s so that I can be in the comfort of my house and observe through the camera remotely, than record. Of course there is a slight delay of what is shown on your smart phone's screen and the 'live' action. At least the birds aren't frightened away by my presence or movements and I stay warm and dry. :-)

Haha no flash; just deep snow everywhere so I had a giant reflector.

Took me a good 30 seconds to find that there. Nicely done Gene!

It reminds me of "Where's Wally?". :-P
