I don't think this really fits the topic of this thread (unless it's an FD lens), though it's a beautiful image.

Super Takumar 135mm f/2.5 and 50mm f/1.4 (M42) or what??
I picked these up a while ago and both produce great results, but I can't find any info explaining why the words "Takumar" and "Asahi Opt. Co." is blacked out on both lenses. It appears to be a thick black paint... Any ideas?

Sony a6000. RMC Tokina 35mm 2.8, at f/11. MD-NEX adapter by K&F Concept.
I received the lens as a gift and just got the adapter. Haven't had much time to play with it, but so far I like it.
The "traditional Haudenosaunee pot" was also a gift from the artist, Peter B. Jones, of the Onondaga Nation.

Anyone ever use the Minolta 58mm 1.4 PF? Very conflicting opinions on it, some people say it's the best 50mm ish lens Minolta made while almost all online reviews say it's soft and not contrasty until stepped down.

I had the 50mm 1.4 PG and that blew me away, but supposedly the 58 was better, according to a couple of my friends who have shot with them in the past. Kinda more likely to believe them rather than keyboard warriors on outdated forums, but I really have no clue until my copy arrives.

Minolta 58mm 1.4 PF

First at 1.4, second at 2.0

Jpegs from my A7.

Honestly the MD 50mm 1.4 PG is much much MUCH better, and only 1/2-1/4 the cost.
