Picked it up at Farm and Fleet (which I think is a midwest only chain), but with hunting seasons winding down I'm sure most sporting goods stores or superstores will be discounting what they have left in stock. I got an Ameristep Doghouse blind based on some positive comments on the forums here, and it's good quality (especially for the $50.00 I paid) and very quick and easy to set up.

I know most of you will use this for nature and wildlife, but I think it ain't bad for kids. These are cropped, but look at the eyelashes.

However I did a little bird shooting today as well. Can you spot a different bird in the group shot?

I was looking on B & H and I see a pro version but not the kenko 1.4x dgx HD teleconverter. Where did you find one if you don't mind me asking?

Wow! After all these great shots, I'm nearly ashamed to post these two shots. Ah, hell. It was a bad day. I handheld, I didn't even try to close the shutter down. I let the camera do its automated thing and I added in the extension of a 1401 Sigma TC. So, backlight, weak light, anyway. I'm still impressed with the 7D2 and the optical abilities of the Sigma 150-600mm.
The wider shot was at the 150mm setting and the exposure level is increased in post, otherwise it is not color-corrected.
The tighter shot is about 400-or so and it is edited for both exposure and color. Overall lousy shots but within the narrow focus zone the feathers are distinctive, giving me a good opinion of the latest Sigma 1.4X TC. However there is some CA and I wonder if the TC was part of that problem.

Amazing shots. Beautiful light and processing. Are the foxes habituated to people here, or are you camped out in a blind?

Thanks Jeff. No blind. The foxes expect handouts from visitors. The park police try to enforce the no feeding rules. But it doesn't take a genius to figure out
that people are constantly feeding these animals...probably why they look so well fed. I was sitting on the ground outside of my car, and some of the foxes approached well within my minimum focus distance of the lens. If I had a snack with me I could have literally had a couple eating out of my hand.

Speaking of well fed.....I put out some fresh suet for the woodpecker that's been visiting, and set up hoping to catch a few images. All I got was the squirrel that noticed the fresh food. Unfortunately I missed the leap in this series of shots.
