New 7D2 owner here. I ended up getting this camera earlier than expected due to the great bundle deal.
My main reason for wanting this camera was to use it for team roping pictures (my husbands hobby).
I wanted all the extra AF points and I need (really want) to move my AF point from one side of the view finder to the other side in as few steps as possible.
Unfortunately it's not team roping season right now, but I guess that just gives me more time to learn this new camera. :-)
I haven't even tried to learn the complex AF system yet, but I have started using the camera and do I intend to start reading the manual pretty soon.
For now I'm just stalking the wildlife around my house and fortunately they don't require me to use all the great features of this camera. ;-)a

A couple critters from around my house taken with the 70-300L.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I'm a new owner myself and am having a great time with it. It does have a learning curve but its well worth learning, the features and the way you can customize it is fantastic. The folks in this thread that have had the camera awhile now will help you out with any questions you have. :)

Thanks, Grizz. Once I start getting into all the features I'm sure I will have plenty of questions.

I'll recommend slowly going through this thread and making specific bookmarks with you own titles for future reference. There's a wealth of information here!
