Thank you so much Maureen! I am really liking this camera and lens combo.

I was shooting birds through the window today just playing with it and I am impressed how fast this thing focuses!

I went round and round with the camera manual to figure out how to set the back button focus, finally got fed up and looked it up on you tube! LOL! Now I have TWO dedicated back button focuses for different situations! LOL!

Boy I can't wait to get out and really put it through it's paces!

It's crazy what this camera can do! Don't forget to share some pics. :-)

So, I haven't been on this forum in years, but I have a couple of new lenses headed my way and figure I should get reacquainted.

Welcome back, Tiffany. We are always glad to see new faces and old, familiar ones too.

Miss Cadence, 8 days fresh, came for pictures today. Her mommy warned me she was not a good sleeper & wanted to be held all the time so it took a bit of coaxing to get her asleep and still for some shots. She fidgets & wriggles in her sleep too! Every time I moved her a little or tried to r-position her, she woke up & fussed. In the end, I managed about 30 shots but we didn't have any luck changing out her attire. I let mom pick out the headpieces and baskets.

Cute pictures, Maureen. Sounds like a lot of work, but I think you really like it.

It wasn't too bad; she didn't scream until the end when I tried to do the hands on the face pose. We couldn't settle her after that so we decided to be done. No sense mauling a newborn. ;-)a

Sure is quiet around here. What's up? I am planning on watching football all weekend & recovering from a full week of grandchildren. First time I have had the 2 little ones for 5 days in a row, from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Luckily no one is sick and we had lot's of fun but I am ready to have a couple of days off.

There are rumors of the stork coming to our family again late summer but it is still too early for discussion........ but in a few weeks, if things pan out well, I will update you all. :-)

My babies in B&W..... not something I do too often.

I really like the first shot, Maureen. I bet you would love another grandchild and I wish your family the best with that. :-)

Thanks Stina...... I was 99% certain we were done with grandchildren but life has a way of throwing one off guard. The funniest part is that i was gathering up baby stuff and planning on donating it soon. Guess I will unpack it all........

Hello, everyone!

Both my husband and I came down with colds, haven't been able to do anything for a week and half. It was very weird, it never seemed to want to leave, LOL.

Maureen, Judging from the pics, its looks like you were able to get rid of the rust from your brain, congrats on the possible new addition:-)

Stina, it looks like that camera is starting to become your new best friend, LOL. I especially love the picture of the deer, 'course, I'm also a "Bambi" girl.

Barb, wish I could help you with your choice of camera bags, but I struggle with the same issue.

Tiffany, welcome and I look forward to seeing some pics!

Well it has officially been announced so Tristan & Ella will have a new sibling the end of August. Of course I have 11 birthdays from August 21-29th so what's one more ? ;-)a

Ella had her birthday party last night even though it is officially tomorrow. Her parents are going away this afternoon until tomorrow afternoon so I will be heading over there to man the fort. We are having a rainy weekend so it will be the perfect time to stay indoors, watch movies and play with the new birthday presents.

Here are two of my favorite candid moments of the evening last night.
