That's perfect for events. I hate when i used a 24-7O on receptions and accidentally shoot at 24 which i don't like because of distortion. Plus it's f2?? Wow.

I've always been envious of those who managed to capture hummingbirds with their cameras, notably Gene. Finally, I've had my opportunity and this particular one turned out to be very friendly. Depending on how the light hits, its head plume would turn bright magenta.
Shot manual focus, A7RII w/ 100-400L II.

I just got my new Phantom 3 Standard quad copter late yesterday and have been updating firmware, etc. Hopefully, today I'll be able to take it out for a test flight.

*I didn't notice the camera settings until just now. I don't remember why I had those settings but even at iso 6400, ss of 1/80th and f10, it looks good to me. :-)

Man, I've been thinking about getting into drones. I'm real curious to see how you like it. The Phantom 3 seems like the most reasonably priced entry-level drone that isn't a toy.
I assume this does both stills and video?

Keep us posted. I for one am really looking forward to see what you do with it.
Didn't you get a GoPro recently? You haven't posted any new vids after that one where you drove around with it in your Cadi.

These are both fantastic...I need to get out to Palos Verdes again soon, with the skies we've been having! (I'm not sure where you shot these, but both reminded me of Palos Verdes).

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

Thank you for the lesson in ornithology. Someone else I showed the photo to this evening told me it's Anna's Hummingbird. I looked them up and it is not easy to tell right away.

Bingo - on the grounds of Terranea Resort. Such a beautiful corner of LA - I was there last year as well; each time I have wondered to myself, "wtf am I doing in the Easy Coast :-("

I'm really looking forward to see what I do with it too. ;-)a Yes, it takes stills as well as video. I can shoot in Adobe Dng raw format and the resolution is 12mb. The camera will also shoot 3 or 5 bracketed AEB images so I'm looking forward to trying that out. From some of the videos I've watched, when the 'drone' is hovering, it's as stable looking as if the camera was mounted on a tripod. I have the Phantom 3 'Standard' so the highest resolution video is 2.7k as apposed to the Phantom 3 Pro which shoots as high as 4k.

I've got the rovelight 600..... that is a proper strobe, but it's big and heavy.
