i think 99% of all those photos that are shot up and have an airplane in them are fake...it's always the same looking airplane...which is fine whatever, but at least admit to the fact that you put it in...i see many acting like they took it, and just got super lucky

that photoshop job wasn't even close to believable though...even on their FB photo they uploaded you can clearly see it

O M G !!!

You mean that capture with the TIE Fighter in it is not real?

I'm crushed.

I thought all our troubles were about to be swept away with the help of an invading force!

This reminds me of a shot I took in my youth of my U.S.S. Enterprise model with straight pins and some crushed tin foil against a black cloth for stars and planets. Taken on my polaroid Swinger -- so there was no chance it was photoshopped -- I showed it to a relative who asked me if it was really real.

You only need to look up the Cottingley fairies (external link), for possibly the best ever photography hoax. I think that the fact that it was perpetrated by two young girls, who nobody suspected were capable of such work, it was 1917 after all. It even fooled the great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, although in the words of Fox Mulder it was a case of "I want to believe!"

I have a lot of airplane photos, which are real because I know good spots. Here's an example though a bit of editing took place to make the plane more defined in this photo.

Yes, I've seen those before. They are very good, long before Photoshop.

i'm not talking any shot with an airplane in it...i know that's doable...i mean the ones like the picture awarded, that are shot straight up some other structure, and then there's an airplane dead center...i'm also not saying this isn't possible, but i'd say the majority of them are fake

like this one as well...

If anyone knows me from past posts of many years ago, I had a go at a few Nikon users, or was it another site?

Anyway, I won't say anything, just don't type anything that can land me into trouble, hahaha

What made me laugh, the photographer said to Nikon, that "I also shouldn't have jokingly answered Nikon that I caught the plane in mid-air and should have just clarified that the plane was edited in using PicsArt."

Yeah, that doesn't sound anything like the truth

Chay Yu Wei: "This is my fault and I sincerely apologise to Nikon, to all Nikon Photographers, and to the photography community as general."

No, Wei.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,um,,,,,,,,,,,,,well...............

People like this give true hard working photographers a bad name and taste in their mouths. He keeps saying he did it as a joke. You don't enter a contest like this as a joke. Why not just say you lied , take the short windfall of abusive posts and be done. But keep lying and he just digs a deeper grave. People like him are the ones that came up with the saying "It's only wrong if you get caught". Well, you just got caught.
