Ok, here's another one with the Drainpipe. Shot the end of last show season. I haven't had it out recently to shoot but need to ... I've so fallen in love with this lens and my old 1D.

Had some time to take the lens out on my lunch break. First thought - it's long!

Hey Kaptnkain,
I really like both of these images quite a bit. The winding road has a very serene feel to it and reminds me of days gone by, for myself. Also, what kind of affect are you using on the B/W tree? I can't put my finger on it but that's not just a snapshot or SOOC image. It has a very moody feel to it? I keep wanting to make that one vertical limb into a crow....

I think maybe its the combination of the darker tree against the lighter foreground/background in addition to it leaning so abruptly. How did you edit that image because I like it a lot.....

Ralph, I'll send you the PSD file over email later. It's just a bunch of masking & exposure adjustment. SOOC there was no detail in the clouds.

I just purchased this for around $270 off eBay a couple of week ago. It's definitely a well-worn copy and did not come with hood or tripod collar. $20 and Amazon Prime took care of that quickly. I hope to post some photos taken of my son's basketball games soon. Focus isn't awful, but missed shots were probably due more to user error and a T3i being used than the lens itself. Definitely hefty, but I don't mind the weight.

I don't own this lens anymore, but can't say that I don't miss it a lot of times. It's amazing.

unfortunately my son plays in some poorly lit gyms and 2.8 can't really cut it with the T3i and my fledgling PP skills.

As you can see noise remains even after NR in Lightroom, though i'm no expert at dealing with it. Looking forward to see how it handles night baseball very soon.

Hi guys, this is my first upload ever on this forum:] Thought I'd share my some of my first shots with this beautiful lens. Both pics shot wide open f2.8 @ 200mm. Little sharpening in LR done, but really small amount, nothing else.
