My niece has a cat that stuck around home for the first couple of years and then suddenly became a walkabout cat..!!
The first walkabout was over a week so don't give up hope.

My daughters cat. We were cleaning out the pantry so he had to try out all of the empty baskets.

It's been now 5 days and no Missy in sight. She has never ventured out for longer than just a few minutes. I haven't given up :)

I'm crying my heart out; my Missy has been missing for 4 days now! We have posted signs "Missing Cat", checked every shelter in the vicinity of our home, asked all over the neighborhood etc. She was either taken by someone or a coyote! I haven't slept very much in the last few days and my heart is totally broken. I don't know what else to say apart that Missy has left a huge void in my heart! I loved her dearly after adopting her last June. 2 years after Madame Patches of 18 years left us so suddenly! Wherever she is I hope she is happy. And if she was taken by a coyote, I hope he got sick!

In my mind their is only one outcome to a lost loved one; there time with us is done, and now it is time to move onto the next human who needs them. There is no room for coyote, or any other reality, outcomes in my wishes...

Still, I'm holding out for one long adventure that will end with Missy back at your door, with tales of daring-do to be told while curled up on your lap. Yeah, I like that ending better...

Prayers.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope that she would return or turn up somewhere with stories to tell.

Missy come home
