deer eating out of my hand

This is what happens when tourists feed the wildlife too much. Yes I was guilty of the same thing but I did it once with animals that were already dependent on humans. Luckily the park where this was taken put an end to the problem soon after this shot. People would come every day with bags of food for those animals. They were not healthy or happy from what I could see. They would walk right out in front of vehicles to get food. And they looked sickly. There were about a dozen of them living in a field right by a road close to a lodge. They stayed there all the time and ate only what humans gave them. They don't do well on that kind of food.

Very true that they don't do well eating that way. The deer in this photo is obviously not healthy. Deer normally look much smoother and their coats are in better condition. This animal is not doing well at all.
