It was very busy there with long lines to get in at both gates. It quiets down quite a bit after the sun sets. This is made from 119, 30 second exposures. Bob

lavanut Goldmember ![]() More info | Nice. I really want to go to Joshua Tree. So it's pretty quiet after dark? That's a great time to shoot! Mind sharing some places to shoot there? I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

There are a lot of campgrounds in there so that creates some activity. I was looking for as dark a locations as I could find. I scouted some off the road locations in the afternoon. One I shot at was 8.4 miles in from the 29 Palms entrance just north of Park Blvd. I went in 75 to 100 yards north of the road and I was a bit hidden from the road by some rocks and there was a nice tree. Feb 23, 2016 21:01 | #236 This was my first time trying a true night landscape photo. I was camping out in Yosemite National Park this past weekend in my quest to capture the phenomenon Yosemite Firefall. Around midnight, I decided to go and get this shot! What do ya'll think?
