One of the first user write-ups of an AD600BM (Bowens mount non-ttl).

Marks review reminded me of something that I posted to another thread but not to this one. That is if you're going to use the X1 transmitter to set 1/256 power into the AD600 you need to have V10 firmware installed in the X1 and you need to go into Cfn.-05 and set it to 01 in order to enable this ability. Currently the X1 cannot control or turn "on/off" the modeling light of the AD600.

Does this mean we are within one week of the US release?

March is when all the US dealers will get the new product.

Buy from which ever one you feel comfortable with because they are all the same product all made by Godox

My first actual light test with talent. Key is the AD600BM with an Elinchrom Rotalux Deep Octa 39", inner diffusion panel only. Hair light an AD360 coned with a Bowen's Maxlite 8" on a boom. Triggers used were the older FT-16 transmitter/USB receiver on both shot with a Pentax 645Z and a 45-85mm f4.5 lens. The color temperature of the AD600BM is well balanced. I prefer b/w for portraits, but I found the light temp very well done on both units.

First TTL with X1C are satisfying- although every 10th shot is at too much (full?) power.
My fault?
Rest if them good in power and color.

Does anybody know where to find the actual firmware of Godox flashes?

Very lovely flash, definitely want to have the HD600 head!

I continue to test the AD600BM and recently tested the HSS capabilities of the unit. It performed very well and I have written my review which can be found here.

The first image was shot at 1/4000th. The second image shows how the ambient appeared without any flash.
