Went down to one of the local NWRs today to see if the GHOs had their hatchlings out yet; unfortunately, no little ones and Mom pretty much stayed tucked into the nest hole. Did manage to find some shots of some of the other residents as a consolation; all in all, a pretty good day out.

Nice Eric . Did better then I did a lot of hiking and no shutter action today. Love the heron shots

Just up here in Skagit Valley We went to Stanwood to crowded for me so went out in the flats found some short ears just not close

Great shots Eric. You were much closer to the Eurasian Wigeon than the I could get to one down here.

Thanks John! Yes, this was the first time I've had one come in that close; usually they stay out in the pond, well offshore.

Thanks Peter! No one was able to confirm/deny that the eggs had hatched yet, but everyone's expecting. So, hopefully by this weekend maybe they'll be coming out?
