went back up to Stanwood yesterday after a very unproductive visit Monday, in hopes that Monday's lack of activity was just temporary. it took a while, but a couple of owls did make an appearance, though they again stayed well out most of the afternoon. i'm afraid "owl season" up there may be winding down a bit early this year... late in the day, one made a few passes at a "usable" distance, but nowhere near as close as last Tuesday.

thanks, guys! the activity level there has dropped off a lot, though, so i'm afraid there may not be many more opportunities there this season...

Very nice capture Rocky.

thanks, Peter. a friend of mine went up there today, said there were no owls in evidence. after the last few days, i'm thinking most of them have moved on for the season... :(
