I took the EOS M with me last Saturday to my weekly volunteer gig for an animal sanctuary instead of my 5Dc and 135L. Instead I shot with the EOS M + Canon adapter + Canon 85mm 1.8. Almost all shot at f2.0. While the color and bokeh weren't quite as good as my usual combo, I was still really happy with what I got and had fun using a different setup than normal. Changing focus points was much quicker and easier than the 5Dc and helped me compose shots more easily and quickly - helpful for moving people and animals.

A quick question for someone that has both. Which is the best lens for everyday use, 18-55, or 22 pancake?

Really it depends on what your everyday use is, but the 18-55 is certainly more adaptable than the 22mm. The latter is a much faster lens though.

When I am out with just the 22 I sometimes want the 18-55 but can usually manage without. When I only have the 18-55 I often want the 22 and berate myself for not bringing it.

That said, both are small, so it isn't hard to mount one to the camera and put the other in a pocket.

I visited a Colorado landmark, Bishop Castle (external link) with the M/22 combo. Well worth a stop if you're in the area.
