Recently acquired this lens secondhand, but only a few months old. I mainly shoot my sons playing various sports, so this is the first very long lens I've had. I'm fine with the technical aspects, but 600mm is taking some getting used to!!

Just thought I'd post one shot I took today down at the local park. I know nothing about wildlife photography, but I liked the way this gull was pretending to be a Harrier jump jet!

Oh... and even though I'm a novice with poor technique, I can see I'm going to have a lot of fun with this lens...

Did I read somewhere there's a fix for the EXIF data so that the correct lens shows here?

According to the announcement on the Sigma website there is a firmware update coming March 11th. It will require the dock, but they are indicating an increase in AF speed. Will be interested to see how this effects my lens compared to current state.

went out to the speedway for a few hours last night, shooting the sigma through a fence, so in a few you can see the lines, but more than happy with the results
