I am getting my Cannon 6D this weekend and I can get 1 prime lense. I have non currently. I have chosen to get the Cannon 35mm and 135mm but I can only get one of them first, then the other hopefully in the summer. I will be doing car shots, family and portraits (mostly outdoors with nature and some cosplay). A few gaming photos etc. I have done a ton of research and both give completely different looks so I am torn and have no idea what to do -_- Thanks!

Some picture examples would be great with those lenses!

For* (not of in the title)

Of the two options, I would prefer the 135 for people, & front, rear, & profile shots of cars. The 35mm would work for angle shots & interiors.

I would go with the 135 for the time being. The 135 is pretty great for cars and portraits. The 35 is a great lens, but I wasn't all that happy with it with car shots. The 135 car pictures will blow it away.

My sig doesn't show it, but i've owned the 35L and used the 135 a lot.

Toss this out there, why not look at a good 85mm?
