I paint photo realistic portraits in my "real" profession and the lips looked really way too flat to me. Have a look here, this is a painting. The lips have so many subtle color changes and this is what makes a face look very 3D on a flat surface. See the highlights, shadows etc?  Wonderful portrait, Renata. You are a woman of many talents.
