My 24L II and 50L are my travel set, with the 24mm often getting 90% of the use.
While I do occasional miss a shot that I would have gotten with a longer lens,
I find it invaluable for a quick street or travel photo, that is later cropped and framed as I desire.

Where does your 16-35L come into play?

I'm thinking of going all primes for my walk-around and travel... which means I'd be trading the 24-70II for a 24II. Is that just nonsense or does it seem like a good idea to anyone?

It would mean I carry a 24L, 50L, and 135L everywhere I go. (85L is for portraits and too heavy to pack around for travel).

I only use 24, 50, 85, 135 and there's nothing that I can't shoot.

Next purchase will be a 200 2.0

I'm trying to decide whether I should take this or the 35 Art with me for a few upcoming trips.

I think you should buy the 24-35 Art and take that with you. Give it a good shakedown, and post a bunch of images to help me decide if I should buy one. :-)

Canon, Canon......definitely....definitely faster, Canon, definitely Canon....definitely faster.

Nah... F1.4 makes all the difference for me in my situations. So the 24-35 just wouldn't cut it.

I always enjoy using this lens on crop. First time with the 7D2 . At Shedd Aquarium.
