Sorry about no exif data— I just clipped these from my website. I'm in th middle of reverting to an older Lightroom catalog and I don't want to open anything right now.

The second one was in the middle of the middle of the night in Chongqing when I discovered I could shoot at 12800+ on a 5D. Way drunk and trying to manually focus. It was my first trip to CQ, and better, as an invited artist (expenses paid) for the Chongqing Printmakers Festival. I was working in Beijing at the time as Art Director. My partner in the US and I had a KGB guy (really CCP) attached to us 24/7, until we outdrank him. (I'm Scottish and my brother is Russian— only an Irishman could outdrink us then!) We went out every night and the locals kept wrapping their arms around us, giving us drinks of kerosene.
