For shiny subjects, a reflector is not merely fill. Its position and distance plays an important role in defining the subject's shape. Setup:
In front of the black b/g are five stands. From left, (1) special diffuser on grip arm, (2) black stand serving as subject pedestal, (3) two reflectors, (4) Speedlite on doubled grip arm, (5) Profoto head as hard key. I'm still experimenting with the special diffuser, which is a gobo holder fit with three sheets of Rosco Tough Rolux. Closeup:
The generated shadow transition is perfect, and I really like the circular profile when reflected.
