You should still be able to take advantage of it. They ship to US.

I bought my 7dm2 that way over a year ago and it was a smooth transaction.

Contemplating getting the 1dx from them now, didn't realize this deal existed.

That would make it gray market though, right? I haven't had a good experience with Canadian customer service after ordering a $250 keyboard from there, but that was just one experience that I've come to generalize the broader country with. :)

I don't believe so for two reasons: Camera Canada is an authorized Canon dealer, and also because Canon's warranty is actually USA/Canada warranty. AFAIK, there's no distinction between USA and Canada market Canon gear. If you take a look at your closest Canon warranty card from a previous purchase, you should actually see that it says Canon USA and Canon Canada.

In practice, I am not 100% sure mainly because I haven't needed to get the 7dm2 I got from Camera Canada serviced by Canon (USA) yet.

I'm in America too and I enjoy buying from them all the time. I've spent over $10,000 with them and have been nothing but pleased with each and every transaction.

And as stated before, you are getting a full Canon USA warranty. If anyone doesn't want to believe that, well, I guess it is there choice...but you are in-fact getting a full USA warranty.

The official price is $4,599.00 new.. the grey market price is around 4,000

There are US models for $4k, too. I got mine for $4050 - new and US model.

FWIW I purchased [3] lenses from Camera Canada in the last 2 months and had them shipped to Indiana, everything went perfect. I had the lenses in 3 days after ordering, they came with a USA warranty card and I registered them on line with Canon no problem. I saved an average of $200 per lens from buying them in the states.

They are good to go.

Bryan, you are 99% correct, but there is one exception you should know about.

With all lenses and most cameras you will get a 1-year Canon USA warranty even if you buy from Canadian authorized Canon dealers, as your purchase comes with a warranty card that shows 1-year Canon warranty in both Canada and the USA.

The one camera that is an exception, unfortunately, is the EOS-1D X. This camera only comes with a 1-year Canon Canada warranty card. If you require warranty service on this camera, in theory, you would need to send it back to Canon Canada for warranty repair service.

Yeah, I agree with the others. Be patient, anything above $3000 is overpaying IMO. I suspect once the 1DXii arrives plus other rebates etc, a 1DX used prices would be under $3k...
