Jnander. Have you consifered Using CPL filter to control glares like your fridge problem. I have it on hand in case of difficult countertop or screen glares.

i wouldn't shoot with it on all the time, can give some weird effects when not used properly but can also pull some nice blues out of the skies. Ymmv

Only in really bright conditions. Shooting with speedlights and a CPL is difficult due to their relatively low output.

This is a great pic. Of course, it would be much better with the room cleaned up. Only gripe would be the strange reflections on the ceiling in the living room. The chandelier is giving one color and then something else is making some weird reflections from, presumably, sunlight?
