It just means good job. Not sure where all the rage comes from if the other guy doesn't understand what it is...

Shifting the argument to include HSS? It's pure fantasy to think you can include internal ND filters cheaper than external. The demand is so low for such a feature that reingineering a body to include it would be cost prohibitive when a solution exists for $100 or less in many cases, but we've sidetracked a good thread enough with fantasy.

1. It's just wishful thinking. Chill out.
2. A set of three Lee filters for 2, 4 and 6 stops cost $5-600.

No I don't shoot cinema. I also didn't see the need to spend $15,000 for a camera with built in ND filters either, but if you keep adding examples of cheaper and cheaper cameras to support your original comment then maybe you will sell me on the idea.

I mentioned those two cameras to show you that bill of materials for built in nd can't be that expensive. I'm not sure why you're obsessed with the 16k price point when BOM on other cameras with built in ND filters are exceptionally low.

Of course. You're not required to use accessories for anything.

But it obviously changes how the light will look if you use a bare strobe on someone. The apparent light source size will be smaller, the light harsher, and less coverage. It can work. But unless you're really good at it and fine a niche where it looks good on the model, it will not look great.

Very best,

Beauty dishes make harder light if they're far from subject and smaller size (making a smaller source of apparent light). But, a close range beauty dish can make good light, but it will still be hard light, but good.

I use stakes & weights on my heavy stand when using a modifier in the wind. I use a 60" umbrella often on a stand with a 600ws strobe outside, and the wind will send it to the ground, so I have two sets of stakes and bungee cables, and I stake it into the ground and weight it on top of that. Holds fine.

I guess you don't have an assistant? I don't either, I'm 100% solo so I always have to find ways to make it work by myself. I use modifiers in the wind.

Very best,

My battery seems pretty heavy I might hold that battery with the light stand to make it sturdy, im going to try. it with my parabolic umbrella or maybe standart size umbrella although parabolic creates pleasent soft light :D

No ND filter used, however, I did have/use a circular polarizer...

What kind of ND filter would you recommend for a 85mm 1.2 and a einstein strobe? I was thinking a Variable ND filter since I do videos as well.
