I'm still really intrigued by the idea of a 5DSr myself.
You're sort of my guide down that idea. So tell me, why do you feel you need both, which do you use more and why?
Does the 5DSr have anything resembling face AF btw?

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

New Sigma adapter in action. Looks promising:

Rishi (guy from DPreview who made the video) gave some additional commentary on the performance with Canon lenses in the comment section of SAR:

Rishi Sanyal nexphotog • 2 hours ago
I did test it, & address this in the comments in the article. All AF functions are available with the 35/2, but only CDAF appears to be used. That's why I specifically said Sigma lenses in the video. While it's relatively fast with the 35/2 (and AF-C Eye AF works, e.g.), there's significant hunting.

But this is a n of 1. Journalistic integrity means you don't jump to statistically insignificant conclusions. Without testing more Canon lenses, I didn't want to jump to any overarching conclusions (even Metabones is sometimes lens, and firmware for that matter, dependent). So I talked about what I *do* feel fairly confident about: I tested three different Sigma lenses that worked perfectly (both SA and EF-mount *Sigma* lenses). This also jives with what Sigma says: that advanced AF functionality comes from a database of info for Sigma lenses. We will look at various Canon lens' performance when we have the adapter in.

Hope that helps clarify things a bit. I know you're curious: so am I! :)

all these dang announcements ..... I JUST WANT A LONG LENS... native to FE. So I guess my new hope is the Siggy adapter and a canon 400 5.6?

Here are more shots of the Tenba Cooper 13 Slim for reference:

Here you can see the quick access top zipper. For me its easy access to my A7R:

Top view: left to right Sony FE 55, Sony A7r with Sony FE 16-35 F4, Sigma 35 1.4 with Metabones adaptor. You can see how much space is still left if you wanted to carry say on more lens or accessory

On the back of the bag a nice laptop sleeve. Here i have my Macbook Air 13 in for reference.

I also added the Peak Design Capture Pro to the side panel on the left side of the bag. There is a very sturdy leather strap i am able to attach it to there. Almost as if the bag was meant for this :)

With A7r and 16-35 F/4 attached for reference:

There are other small pockets all over the bag and even internal pockets on the outside of the camera bag insert which can hold say a phone. The insert can be fully removed to use as a regular bag as well. The quality of this bag is just so high. I have a domke bag but this Tenba has now replaced it.

Hope this helps to give everyone an idea :)

With a canon lens like that i think the metabones iv would be better, but not sure. An option would also be the sony 70-400GII with the A mount adapter

Eriett I am so with you and I feel in my bones a 400 native is coming. The A6300 screams for it and the A7Riii will be the first A7x truly capable of sports BIF and wildlife. When that day comes I will jettison a lot of EOS kit. It won't be long now, less than a year is my hope before the announcement.
So which do you want....400/4 or 400/5.6? TCs must work with either.

Or a-mount Tamron 150-600??? I can't get mine off the a77ii and love the rig. 720mm effective and a BIF machine. The a77ii is a hidden forgotten gem, I can't image what it would be like with the newer sensors-they would probably call something like the A6000 :)

awesome - thank you

- i have one on order as I love my Sigma 24-105 but it continuously stops working on the Metabones IV T
- if a new Sigma 85 1.4 Art is on the way, this adapter is going to be huge

I do want a 85 art and a wide angle sigma, both my 85L and 17-40 are due for upgrade.

Even if the Sigma can't, its only a matter of time before another adapter does. The tech-art adapter already fully unlocks the AF for Canon lenses...its just really buggy and poorly built.

yeah, I returned mine, It worked, but build quality was **** and often stopped passing exif info, its possible to do, with more effort.
