I first learned about expert shield from you. I have it installed on both my bodies. Great product.

What's the difference between the crystal clear, anti-glare and glass. Do you guys have a preference?

I can not answer your most recent question but I have used the actual Sony screen protector on a few bodies with great results. Inexpensive and a perfect fit.

crystal clear is a flexible material thats clear. anti-glare is a matte finish, and glass is well... a glass hard screen protector. same principle as the ones people put on phones.

I was looking at their website and they have a description for the anti-glare matte version and a photo showing the difference between it and crystal clear. Looks like you have to decide on the tradeoff between anti-glare which is good in the sun, and the loss of clarity when using that. The glass didn't have any unique description or pictures so I'm not sure what it is going to look like.

I have my phone in a lifeproof case, for work. My phone getting hit with big streams of water and splashed is a likely occcurance, so I need to have it waterproof. So it's been a long time since I've used any of these screen protectors. Last time was back in the day when Invisible Shield was the state of the art, so like... 2005 or 2006? This is what frustrates my girlfriend, she'd just pick one and buy it, the cheapest one probably. While I am trying to learn all the details before making a decision. I read the entire menu when we eat out, and even then I often can't make a decision.

I suppose I'll go with the crystal clear, it's the cheapest and if the glare becomes a major issue then I'll buy the anti-glare later on. Glass is more expensive, but I don't know that it is worth it.

The expert shields I use are flexible clear plastic. I didn't even realise they made glass ones.

Did a walk into the city today along an abandoned rail line. If you are insane, or really insane, you can actually walk over a huge bridge that spans the highway - I actually didn't know this until today. The location I took the the 2 panos is called the Toronto Evergreen Brick Works - it is a reclaimed older brick making facility turned nature reserve. It was this vantage few where the panos were taken.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Testing de DR of A7r II...impressive. The lens is Zeiss Batis 25mm. Looks like flash was fired in the second image. Only shadows push and some curve/color adjustment.
