Great Goldcrest/Firecrest shots.

Love Goldcrests spent a few hours yesterday in really bad light in local wood attempting a few shots will post them in a couple of days when I can get to my computer. Here's one of my humble efforts from last summer in the bavarian forest that are on my tablet.

We're shot with a sigma 150 600 sport. The forum seems to show the wrong lens at least on this browser.

Cracking capture Phil.
If you click the exif details you should be able to choose your lens manually. I do this every time as AMASS does not offer a lens for my Tamron. It is easy to select if you have added the lens to your gear list.

I was pruning high up in our apple tree a couple of years ago and a Goldcrest landed about a meter away and watched what I was doing for maybe a minute or so. Never seen one before or since. Unfortunately, I don't usually have my camera with me when I am up in the trees...

Great shots Colin, looking forward to your Goldcrest.

It has its points, bet you have stuff up there we don't down here.

Thanks Doc.
Yes I think the Firecrest and the Goldcrest are the only UK Kinglets.

You could say that they didn't,put the mills up here for no reason it never stops bloody raining. But we do have the lakes on our doorstep.:-)
