Great shots Lester. Those are like yellow/gold crowned kinglets back here. Hard you to get a pictures of it.

First shot with the thorns :( Careful stepping/landing indeed.
Beautiful little gem you have there.
I've never studied to see what is 'smallest' in the states. Hmmmm,
probably a warbler of some type I'd guess.
Beautiful capture as always.

Thanks to both.

They are Kinglets but most field guides put them in with the warblers indeed.

OK Cormorants are not loved by many....I got not a dog in the fight since none are within several hundred miles of my hills, but while down down south I learned that
getting one flying is a bit of a challenge=they seriously move on......so it took a couple of tries to get a semi decent one-

Wow Gus you bin busy,..super stuff

Thanks Jeff, had a few days away down South this last weekend and I literally just had to step out of the hotel room on to the verandah to get most of these shots, fantastic place for birds.

Cheers
Gus

Are they the same as Darters? Look the same to me. They call them snakebirds here as they swim with their body under the water and look like a watersnake when they're fishing
