Looking for advice on how to present/share photos with friends and family. I'm a dad who takes lots of pics of my two kids (varsity baseball and 12u baseball). Also take many pics of the team and would like to figure out the best way to share the photos online. Any suggestions? I'm willing to buy or pay an annual subscription if that is recommended. I've used the free flickr but wondering if there is anything better to recommend.

I'm a Smugmug user and find it to be very good for sharing with friends / family and in forums like this one. I've been using them for about 5 or 6 years now.

I really like smugmug, very customizable, private galleries with passwords are an option (though not at the lowest tier) no upload or storage limits for jpeg files and a very nice lightroom plugin.

I was in the same position a couple of years ago - didn't really like the idea of photos of my kids being on the internet. You can have private galleries on Flickr, but you don't really know how much you can trust that (it's owned by Yahoo!). I ended up just setting up a shared Dropbox folder. I upload images, leave them there for a few months, then delete them. Seems to work for us but it is a clunky way of doing it.
