Thanks y'all! Piggy is illuminated by the Sherwin Williams app on my iPad2.
(the squares are paint swatches, as Sherwin Williams is a paint company)

...Awesome! What is the square background? Is it a tablet of some sort?

joayne wrote in post #17931763 (external link)
Ok.. More great lighting!
.. and as Kody asked, what is that background, it seems to be glowing...

Very cool. Is that on a lighted tablet/device? I was thinking about some refraction stuff too.

Well technically this has glass on it ;) Sapphire glass.

Nice watch, Kody and I look forward to whatever you're posting later.

A little bit of L glass

Nice glass, Pete.

lavanut wrote in post #17928771 (external link)
Here's a simple little glass keepsake I have. I decided to play a little bit with the lighting on it illuminating it from below with an LED flashlight under a piece of blue glass and then did light painting from behind for the remaining illumination.

lavanut wrote in post #17931220 (external link)
How about a reflection on glass? You can see the wavy lines of the glass in the reflection. It's that time of year now when the dandelions are coming out. They're the bane of most homeowners who want nice yards, but they're great for photos.

Love the lighting on both of these, Lisa.

joayne,

the weather is looking more promising today for some Museum shots. Although I'll be taking photos outside as I'm not about to pay to go inside, especially since I don't think they allow photography. ;) I ALMOST stopped this morning on my way in to work to get some shots but the light wasn't quite right, would have been behind most of my subjects and would not have turned out well. Even though there was nice color in the sky.

Which museum is this?

Ok you asked for it ;)

This is the "Hot Shop" where they do the actual glass blowing. You can watch Live while it's broadcasting from here: http://museumofglass.org/glassmaking/live-from-the-hot-shop

This is Union Station which is now a US Court House, Supreme Court I think? Notice the blown glass in the glass windows... :) And the glass Rock Candy on the left... more in the next photo.

More great shots everyone.

Spent the day birding so no great glass shots. But the wind was so calm, the water was smooth as glass. Everything was napping.......

I tend not to even go out if there is a chance of rain but today was the last day of dry weather for the next week so I had to.
