Wow, Kody. That's some impressive glass. The live video is also pretty neat. Glass blowing is very fascinating to me.

Oh, and I heard back from my friend. He said he used to follow that watch forum, but he's given up on his watch fetish. Said he hasn't bought one in 5 years. :-)

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

Ok you asked for it ;)

This is the "Hot Shop" where they do the actual glass blowing. You can watch Live while it's broadcasting from here: http://museumofglass.org …ng/live-from-the-hot-shop (external link)

This is Union Station which is now a US Court House, Supreme Court I think? Notice the blown glass in the glass windows... :) And the glass Rock Candy on the left... more in the next photo.

joeseph.. That is beautiful ..
The light is so elegant.. Soft and sort of magical.
A very lovely image.

Thank you! it's pretty rare I take odd shots that turn out much better than expected - this one was after wandering around the church thinking the stained glass windows looked pretty meh from the outside, then spotted this shot through one of their glass doors at the wall behind & took a quick shot over the heads of some people inside. I only took the one shot & hoped they didn't mind...

Lisa and Joeseph, Joayne said it perfectly and I totally agree with her. Wonderful work by each of you!!

thanks! some times it just works out...

Those are spectacular, Kody! Beautiful images of beautiful glass.
I also love the shots of the "Hot Shop" and the Station and the Glass Bridge shot, but since AMASS only shows 4 images in a quote, I decided for the last 4.
Great work!

Yes I believe it is although "Chihuly's Work" is a debatable subject. I've heard he doesn't do the actual work but directs people and puts his name on it. No idea how accurate that is.

I was going to do something with a bottle of Heineken beer. But I just drank it... And not being used to alcohol, I think I'm drunk...
