Hi all. It's been several years since I've logged in to the forum and so needed to create a new "hatchling" account.

Since I've not used any of my Canon DSLR for a few years (changed system), I decided to off-load it to a family member. Here is a summary of what I have:

Canon 430EX Flash
Canon 24-85mm USM
Canon 70-200mm L F/4 non-IS
Canon 20D
Canon 50mm F/1.4 (Needs repair. Common problem I hear. $95 at canon repair)
Canon Extender 1.4x II
Canon Remote Switch

Question is: are the lenses, flash, and extender compatible with the 70D? As far as I can tell, the remote is not, but I'm hoping all else is.

Everything is in superb condition (I even have the original packaging), except the 50mm (should I get it repaired?).

Also, any idea what all of this should be worth? Maybe $1100+ or am I dreaming?

Thanks,
Chazzs

everything but the remote will work...as for getting the 50mm fixed, if you're interested in getting the 70D for video, the 50mm f1.8 STM would allow for pretty good AF during video...if you plan on mainly doing stills you can get the 50mm fixed, it is a common problem with that lens

as for value

430ex is probably like $140
24-85mm maybe $100
70-200 f4 non IS $450
20D maybe $100?
50mm f1.4 with the fix would be like $260, like $150 without it if not less
1.4X II $175 maybe

grand total: $1115...so i'd say you're pretty close to $1,100...give or take a few bucks here and there

Everything you have is compatible with the 70D. On a good day you might get $1,000 out of everything, your 50mm f1.4 would be worth more in working condition. Most people will not take a risk on a non functional lens unless its dirt cheap.
