Thank you Mike - though I wonder why some insects have multiple eyes - spiders, theses, lots of insects...

Since I'm 64, and have had extensive lumbar surgery, I can't build 'em very tall, or with heavy stones .... but I love doing it now and then. It's very relaxing. When one collapses, I just laugh and start over.

... sorry if I've shown this one before. I don't remember.

Very cute! I'm 64 too - the flexibility goes doesn't it - even without lumbar surgery!

64 is a good age .... a wise age. But you're right, Rose, the old arthritis is creeping-in, and things don't move like they used to. I try to do yoga, and my doctor has me on a mild anti-inflammatory.
We just have to do the best we can with the hand that we're dealt. :)

I'm not normally a bird photography person, but wow, this was pretty incredible, these guys take a break here in Colorado during their migration north, phenomenal - Sandhill Cranes at Monte Vista.

This cranefly flew in from outside through the open back door into the kitchen, attracted no doubt by the fluorescent light. It landed on a wooden chopping board. The photo's are differing from each other because of the angle of light and the addition of an extension tube here and there as well the Venus lens at 60mm...

It has picked up strands of fibrous material on it's mouth-parts - animal, mineral or vegetable, I wouldn't know...

So impressed with your macro work. Why don't I see insects like those in my Lancs garden? Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Very well done.
