I know this seems a little backwards for what you might use it for...but I wanted to get a good crisp moonstar, so, smaller aperture and longer exposure.

I'm sure it was the 1.4, although I'm not positive on the price. I was surprised when I saw it, and was more getting my head around its existence than thinking about how much it cost. It might have been $700, but I don't think it was more than that...

even $700 is a steal, I think its $899 most places...I am restraining myself....

I still haven't had quality time to spend with this lens, everything I'm shooting is when it happens to be on the camera and I see something mildly interesting with a spare minute to stop and shoot. There's significant light fall off at 1.4, but it works for these images.
