I hope you weren't being sarcastic. I was trying to help you. I see you have bumped your own thread twenty times over the last month. Obviously you have been getting no response. I was just trying to point out that your price might be too high.

I'm aiming for a certain amount and I'm in no hurry to sell this. I also haven't tried listing it anywhere else, I'm just casually bumping it when I have a moment to bump my other (fairly priced) items here. 20% off of retail with the option of sending an offer isn't as unreasonable as you're making it sound. Plus, this includes worldwide shipping, no tax (if applicable to the buyer), and is packaged as new.

I can understand thread-crapping for non-retail items being listed for retail or above-retail prices, but I don't and haven't done that and can't see the justification of dropping it to $40 (why that amount anyway? I'm not desperate to sell it, and it's rarely near that price. Are you offering $40? A PM is preferred in that case.). If any retail price could be considered as common knowledge, it's that of this very lens; in hindsight, I should have implied that more directly, for which I apologize.

I acknowledge that you were trying to help in any case; thank you for the input nonetheless, and I'm sorry this has been such a bother. I will keep your advice in mind for when I absolutely need this to be sold.

No hard feelings at all. I wish you good luck with the sale. I just picked $40 as a price in which it would go fast. I was certainly unaware that you have had multiple copies of this lens and were very familiar with the pricing.

Oh - and I'm sorry for any confusion, but I am not offering the the $40. I already own the 50mm 1.4.
