Thanks Annie. The spoon and forks are resting on colored pencils. And the reflection comes from black acrylic.

What a great idea. Do you mind if I try it sometime?

Not at all. Of course, the idea is not original to me, but something similar I noticed on a photo website. Very simple to set up and the result is pretty spectacular.

Agreed.... spectacular. Like Ann, I looked and re-looked quite a few times. ;)

That doesn't happen for me all the time, so when it does, it makes me smile.

Well done.

Fascinating - just spent far too long looking at it! What are the spoon and forks resting on? Very creative and inspiring.

I guess you probably meant 'hypnotising', instead of fascinating. :p

Well, in my dictionary (Chambers), fascinate means to 'interest exceedingly, intrigue; to control by the eye like a snake; to hold spellbound; to charm; to captivate; to bewitch, to enchant or cast the evil eye upon (obsolete).' So other than casting the evil eye upon - describes my feelings about the photo perfectly!

Crown-within-a-crown.

Not manually done but accurately timed with a splash art kit. Three flashes all set at 1/64th power to freeze the motion.

Wasn't trying to 'correct' you; more like describing in sport my own feelings when looking at that photo: I couldn't look away.

:)
