This lens is on special again...$200 off.

I can get it for $670 delivered form HK, which is an amazing deal. So tempted...

Nice shot, like the shadow on the leaves, gives it some more substance.

sick!!!!! how is this lens hand-held for macro? is there a non-OS version of the 105 2.8 macro also? Nevermind, I found it. Is the non-OS version as good in terms of IQ?

how does this lens handle sun flare? (the desirable kind).

Also, what do you guys think about bokeh from this lens compared to an 85mm 1.8? I know for the same framing, the 105mm 2.8 has 1.79X more DOF....but because it's longer and there's more compression.....does it look like it has about the same??

Thanks

How does this lens compare to the Canon 100mm f2.8 (non-L) version, I have a 60mm currently but looking for something a bit longer and the OS would be a bonus for longer portraits.

Some OS tests, last week end, with the cheapest short F2.8 stabilized telelens on the market

OS was useless in my case ... Flare rather difficult to understand .. but results definitely beyond my expectations ! Sharpeness near to perfect and AF really fast and accurate for mid distance subjects ( 3 to 20 meters)

All pictures best viewed in FullHD optimized size mode, by clicking once on pictures ..

Resurrect an old thread day! I've had this lens since the fall but haven't used it much yet.
Here's a couple.

The sharpness of this lens astonishes me and I have the 135L as well. It just seems to me that it renders contrastier than other lenses I have.
