I really like the handling of the X-T1\100-400 as a package, I much prefer it over the 1D4\7D\150-600. Hopefully the X-T2 will bring AF enhancements (better tracking and back button focusing) and I really hope they can do something with the EVF "blackout".

Excellent results, thanks for posting. I'm waiting for the X-T2 before I make a final decision on this lens, but I'm sure I'll own it at some point.

If you flick your AF switch to 'M' you can use the 'AF-L' button to activate the AF. Just set up the button in the menu to on when pushed. This will give you back button focusing as the AF is deactivated from the shutter.

Missed the bottom of your post the first time, too busy looking at your pics :)

Yes I've tried that, but it's not very quick and feels really clunky in comparison to a DSLR.
