I've been trying to get more involved with my photography and so far I am getting lots of motivation from all the great images on here. Here are some from the Marigold Parade in Albuquerque, NM celebrating Day of the Dead. I appreciate all comments and feedback!

How about a shot of a life-sized animatronic velociraptor?

I've posted this photo to the thread as i think the miniature effect is quite interesting, and that is something I wasn't expecting to get out of this lens.

I don't see it as a miniature effect. Are you gaussian blurring/lowering clarity or something else in post process, or is that chromatic aberration?

No blurring or lowering of clarity, but there is green and purple CA reduction.

I think she's saying the dinosaur looks like a miniature (because of the shallow DOF) even though it's a life-sized model. I agree, it does look tiny, but not the same as a tilt-shift effect.

Yes. That is exactly what I'm attempting to communicate. I've only just begun to play with and get to know this lens, and I found the results very unexpected.

Must just be something about 1.2. For some reason this one feels slightly miniaturized to me as well. Loving this lens. I've still hardly taken it off my camera since getting it.
