Finally. After 3 months of setting up the shot, 27 hours in a blind (though for this shot I was actually out of the blind but next to it), and in a split second I finally got a picture of the hawk flying toward
me. I've got plenty of hawks on limbs or flying overhead but this was the goal....not perfect but proof of concept-

I guess we call buzzards hawks here in the states?
And buzzards are often called vultures here....I'll see a vulture flying
and say 'Poof buzzrd at 10 o'clock', etc.

that says Family - hawks and eagles and you don't have this one over there. We definitely don't have any vultures to call anything here unfortunately.
