Still testing my lens sorry for the subjects around the house. These are my targets during testing :) and promised this will be the last time I will post these subjects.
This time with 1dMKII plus 1.4x Kenko distance from 35 to 40 feet on tripod. I can't believed it does AF so quickly in a not so bright room.

I just bought the Tamron 150 - 600 lens, too, and have been doing the same sort of testing - shooting anything available. Mostly, though, I've been testing it on distant objects, like a crow about 1/4 mile away in the tree tops, the stars at night, the moon, and Jupiter. I've also been thinking about getting a TC, but haven't decided which one would work best for me. The 1.4 Kenko seems to work well for you. So far, I really like the lens - gets a bit heavy, but it's solid.

Thanks Peter, indeed it was. I hope to make the trip one more time before they migrate. This is a strip of pines in the hustle bustle of community and next to a parking garage. The eagles were there first and they put a fence around the area.

Some more from a couple of weeks ago.

The only parts of Europe where one can see this warbler is at southern Greece and Cyprus.
