Good to see you working with the 7D Mk II David. Wished I'd known you were in town. I haven't been to CFM since I last saw you.

Warbirds Over Addison will be along soon ... I'll try to make it.

Hope you can make it James and to the P-51 sunset event the evening of the 20th.

Sorry. I'm not a fan of squirrels or rabbits, but in fact the shot is a great one for photographer and kit.
I guess to put it more clearly the last rabbit I shot was with a Bowtech Admiral.

Different horses for different courses I guess. But I will point out that this is a European Hare which are in decline in areas of Europe due to changes in farming practices with a fair amount of discussion about allowing the hunting of them at all.

That was my initial thought Larry but the duck in question is the male of the pair, it's smaller than a Bufflehead as well.

Here's a pair of Buffleheads

Here's the pair in question. I think they have to be Ruddy Ducks, look at the stiff tail under water and the reddish coloration of the male's back.

I think you are correct. The male has a blue bill. I just looked at the photos at Cornell ornithology and in their examples the female doesn't seem to have that white patch on her cheek.
How's the Tamron working out? I'm sending mine in this week.

My current copy of the Tamron is very sharp. However, with the Canon 100-400II, I just don't use the Tamron so I think I'm selling it. The AF speed between the 2 lenses is night and day, that Canon is quick!
