Wife helped me get everything out in the yard and then back in the house. As I just could not carry it.

Probably strange, but I really like this pic, Pete. You look good! :-)

I have been busy all week migrating my stuff from Snow Leopard to El Capitan. I then also decided to merge two Lightroom catalogs. That was easy, but then came the reorganising inside the catalog. Pfff... But, I'm pretty much done now and all seems to work well now.

I did follow the thread of course and I love all the contributions.

I had no time to set up something but I was out shooting birds most every day and yesterday had a bit of luck with Red-crested pochards. I was invited by the owner of a houseboat to come shoot them at waterlevel on his deck. Which I gladly did. It was close to sunset. Sun is exactly at my right at three o'clock. A rather bleak, "cold" sun unfortunately...

Cool.
Your glass made me think of some vintage lenses that are also radio active as Kodak, Olympus, Voigtlander and other lens manufacturers used thorium oxide in their glass for improved image quality. They stopped doing that as late as the 1970's. Quite amazing.

Finlay with some side lighting. One of my favorite subjects :) He's sleeping on one of his favorite toys, his green Owl.

Everyone has done a much better job at side lighting than I have but seems like either snow or rain keeps me from accomplishing any outdoor photography.

That's cool, Jo. Where'd you get those mini photo lights?
