These are nice moody images, & there's a place for them. But if I were looking at them with the intention to buy, then I want to see details like scratches, etc., & I can't do that here.

The D3s is dwarfed by the 200. That's a great lens.

Heya,

A simple setup today. Selling some equipment, so wanted to make a nice setup to show the gear for the sale.

Setup:

Single light setup.

Flashpoint 120ws strobe (cheap $50 strobe)
Godox 31" Brolly Box ($20 brolly)
Yongnuo 603c transceiver
Cheetah Boom Stand
Black Acrylic Sheet for Surface
Black Muslin Sheet

Used placement from background and inverse square law to get an all black background with a close proximity light source (the softbox was right on top of the stuff basically) at low power.

Camera is a 5Dc and 17-40L with a YN603c triggering the light.

Very best,

that's dark. Can't see the details on the equipment.

I don't think I'd go that far, but thank you. You must be very hungry, too!   ; )

True, but, I'd also take confidence from the fact the guy selling it obviously knew how to use it, so probably looked after it.

Given that he has over 8,700 posts, you are probably right. OTOH, if you have some spare $s to invest, there's this bridge in Brooklyn...  ; )

So the post was more about the light guys. The point was to produce something more "product showcase" looking, since this thread is all about lighting and how-to.

If someone wanted to see fully exposed, for sale purposes, it's just a question and I'd supply the images--but that's for the sale thread stuff, not this thread.

Very best,

It's still too dark for "product showcase" shot though. .... in my eyes. :-)

I was given the green room at a local theater. Setup the white back drop, two side lights did double duty blowing out the background, and adding rim light. Main light was a 46" octobox just slightly off center
